Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy treatments use essential oils distilled from bark, leaves, petals, roots and stems of plants and trees that are known for their healing properties. Herbal oils made by infusion in caster or olive oil have been used since biblical times. The oils are absorbed through the skins pores and nose in small quantities, positively affecting both body and spirit. Benefits include the restoration and rehydration of skin, pampers and calms the soul, detoxifies, cures the body and awakens the spirit.

Reflexology Foot Treatment

Foot massages are one of the most enjoyable treatments available and have been enjoyed in China for over 5,000 years. Reflexology was discovered in 1915 by Dr Fitzgerald who identified that areas of the human foot are connected to ten energy zones throughout the human body and that pressure applied to a reflex zone on the foot had a direct effect on organs and tissues within that zone. Since the foot is on the longest nerve line from the brain, the massage signal flows and relaxes the whole body by producing endorphins and minimizing pain.

Feet are the hardest working muscles in the human body and as such absorb an incredible amount of punishment, carrying our body within the constraints of tight and uncomfortable shoes, yet usually feel no worse than just stiff and tired.
